The fastest time on the night was set by Dermot Radford, stopping the clock at 8.28. In second was Simon Ryan with a time of 8.54 and third was taken by Danny Bresnan at 10.00. The big winner on the night was Liam McCarthy of Clonmel CC with the closest average speed to his 16 km TT average. Second was the ever impressive Mark Bergin of Clonmel CC with Danny taking the points for third place. The current league leader, James Williams of South Tipp CC, put in a very impressive performance to make it almost impossible to displace him on the top of the table with a fine fourth place in the points allocation.
The final stage of the league will take place next Tuesday night with a handicapped road race starting outside Kelly’s, taking riders down to Bansha where they will turn left over the bridge and continue all the way to Thomastown. Riders will then turn left and race towards Tipperary Town, finishing just outside the town. Sign on will be at 6.45 in the Sports Complex and we will roll out to the start at 7pm.
There will be prize presentations afterwards in the Sports Complex. We will be providing some tea, sandwiches and finger food and we invite everyone to join us including the competitors, their families and supporters.
