What a fantastic night and start for the Tippwheelers club league. 35 riders assembled at Oola village Wednesday evening 19/06/13. Weather temperatures hit 20 degrees with a deceiving wind that proved difficult on the return leg. The 16km route started in Oola village straight through Monard, over Limerick junction, to the Dunnes Stores Roundabout and back to Oola.
The club would like to thank everyone that travelled tonight to make it such an opening night success. We had cyclists from Kilmallock cc, Galtee wheelers, Clonmel cc, Carrick on Suir cc, Worldwide cycles, and Limerick cc. Please forgive me if I have left out anyone! Next week we will have a handicapped race starting in Bansha Village straight to the Cahir roundabout, left to the New Inn roundabout, and Back to Bansha. The distance of this race is 28.5k approx. Riders will be categorised later on during the week based on tonight’s TT results.
Finally many thanks to our marshal’s tonight for keeping our roads safe for us, Brian Devitt, Dave Stokes, Michael Bargary, and the brilliant Jim Kissane. If anyone would like to help us with marshalling for next week please contact Tommy on 087 9886293.
To wrap up if by chance I have your name wrong below please send me a text and I will change it. Jim Kissanes short hand is not the best to translate!
