The fastest time on the night went to Dermot Radford with 21.43, followed by Tommy Brynes with 23.11 and in third place was Pat Ryan with a time of 23.49. The win on the night was taken by Dave Connor riding for Upperchurch with an improvement of 54 seconds. In second place was Brian Canny of Tipperary Wheelers with an improvement of 21 seconds and third was Paul Lafford of South Tipp CC with an improvement of 16 seconds.
Brian's performance has put him back in contention of the overall title and moves him up to first place overall, just one point ahead of Galtee Wheelers' Joe Murphy. Paul Lafford also made up some ground but did himself no harm with an impressive TT performance and moved himself into third position. Looking a little further down,, Kevin Bergin, who did not compete this week, is also still in with an outside chance.
The last stage will take place on Wednesday 07 August with a handicapped road race from Tipperary Town to the Cashel roundabout and back again. Last time this proved to be a difficult route but Joe Murphy took the win so he is looking to be in the best position take the title. As previously stated, it is difficult to work out the different scenarios as it is the best 3 from 4 time trials and 3 from 4 road races that go towards the overall points total.
The starting times for the last stage are as follows:
Cat 3: 00.00
Cat 2: 04.16
Cat 1: 09.16
